BK Duncan

Ruth Wade (AKA BK Duncan) has been a full-time time writer for 20 years. Ten of those engaged in teaching the skills and craft of creative writing in Cambridge and Oxford colleges and academies.


She is also a freelance editor and accredited creativity coach. In her own work she specialises in historical crime fiction, writing under her own name and as BK Duncan (whose novel, Foul Trade, reached the final of the 2016 The People’s Book Prize).

Currently engaged in researching for the third in the Rhythms in Crime Quartet, she spends the rest of her time romping around the forest shooting arrows with her longbow, dancing the Argentine Tango, and sleeping.
